Tenerife, Epic North Coast is a land of banana palms and green covered steep hills overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This trip will take you into the narrow valleys and immerse you in its luxurious green forests of Anaga Rural Park and the winding trails on the coastline cliffy hills.

The popular beaches with warm waters of Tenerife, Epic North Coast, are a very good excuse to enjoy some good time relaxing at the sunset while historical towns like La Orotava, Puerto de La Cruz and Santa Cruz de Tenerife have a lot to discover with testimonial monuments from the Age of Discoveries.

You will be collected from Tenerife South Airport or Tenerife North Airport and brought to your accommodation in La Orotava. The transfer will take about 1h from Tenerife South Airport or 30 minutes from Tenerife North Airport.

Your adventure will start with a loop walk up the hills south of La Orotava. Discover the local countryside as you walk along the narrow paths leading to the deep forest above the little villages.

From La Orotava, a transfer will drop you off at the starting of your second stage. Today, Tenerife northern coast will unveil for you as you walk in the cliffs that originated small hidden beaches a long time ago. Take a break to hear the relaxing rhythm of the waves bathing the rocks. This easy walk is 9.5km will have its finish at Puerto de la Cruz, where, at the end of the day, you will be transferred to Punta del Hidalgo.

The day reserves an easy walk in which you will discover the beauties of Punta del Hidalgo from where you have some great views over the rugged impenetrable cliffs leaning to the ocean.

This is the day you leave the coast and reach the former capital of Tenerife, San Cristobal de La Laguna. The path leads to mountainous areas away from human interference before getting to the countryside villages where the locals grow vineyards to produce the precious wine. At the end, explore the picturesque streets of the old colonial city filled with little shops and cafes.

The amazing Parque Rural de Anaga will be the theme of the day. When your transfer drives you up the hill, you start to form an idea of what lies ahead, a deep laurel forest that will immerse you in its meanders and green tunnels. The statute of protection of the park ensures that the landscape is free from human interference. Follow down the valley to reach the terraced hills facing the Atlantic, then go back up to the hill to Afur, this time across ridges that will allow panoramic views over the valleys below. After the walking stage, a transfer will bring you to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The starting point of the last stage will be reached by a transfer to Chamorga. From here your exploration starts by crossing two valleys towards the ocean. Visit the little coastal village of Almaciga and walk up to El Bailadero across a ridge trail that provides the most impressive panoramic views over the valleys below, a good way to say farewell to Tenerife. At the end of the day, you will be transferred from El Bailadero to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Airport transfers are included from either Tenerife South Airport or Tenerife North Airport (please select on the booking page).

Tenerife South Airport is the main international airport on the island and is served by regular flights from most airports in Ireland and the UK.

Tenerife North Airport is served by mainly domestic flights from the other Canary Islands and airports on mainland Spain.
