The Tenerife, Anaga walking Short-break revolves around the exploration of the Anaga Rural Park. You will start your short break in Tenerife with an overnight stay in Punta del Hidalgo, a little town surrounded by the ocean. Here you will also find a natural saltwater pool and some great places to relax and take in the view.

The first hike will give you views of the green and steep hills facing the Atlantic and it’s going to be a warm-up for the upcoming days. Tenerife, Anaga walking Short-break.

The next day you will venture deep into Anaga Rural Park and walk in the spectacular laurel forest as well as walking on the ridges standing high from the forest allowing for panoramic views over the clouds.

Explore Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the island, a colonial town that takes you back to the Age of Discoveries.

From Chamorga, you will go down across valleys and mountains towards the sea, where the village of Almaciga stands isolated facing the ocean.

Close your trip with a cocktail in Playa de Las Teresitas relaxing in the Tenerife sunset.

You will be collected from Tenerife South Airport or Tenerife North Airport and brought to your accommodation in Punta del Hidalgo. The transfer will take about 1h from Tenerife South Airport or 30 minutes from Tenerife North Airport.

Your first stage reserves an easy walk, a good warm-up for the more challenging walks to come. In this first stage, you will discover the beauties of Punta del Hidalgo from where you have some great views over the rugged impenetrable cliffs leaning to the ocean.

The amazing Parque Rural de Anaga will be the theme of the day. When your transfer drives you up the hill, you start to form an idea of what lies ahead, a deep laurel forest that will immerse you in its meanders and green tunnels. The statute of protection of the park ensures that the landscape is free from human interference. Follow down the valley to reach the terraced hills facing the Atlantic, then go back up to the hill to Afur, this time across ridges that will allow panoramic views over the valleys below. After the walking stage, a transfer will bring you to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The starting point of the last stage will be reached by a transfer to Chamorga. From here your exploration starts by crossing two valleys towards the ocean. Visit the little coastal village of Almaciga and walk up to El Bailadero across a ridge trail that provides the most impressive panoramic views over the valleys below, a good way to say farewell to Tenerife. At the end of the day, you will be transferred from El Bailadero to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Airport transfers are included from either Tenerife South Airport or Tenerife North Airport (please select on the booking page).

Tenerife South Airport is the main international airport on the island and is served by regular flights from most airports in Ireland and the UK.

Tenerife North Airport is served by mainly domestic flights from the other Canary Islands and airports on mainland Spain.
