ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an IT Manager with the following profile: a goal-orientated and very “hands-on” self-starter who loves working independently on providing the most seamless IT experience to all our staff. You will be an effective communicator and negotiator, representing our company’s interests as the main point of contact for all our external IT Suppliers and partners. You will be able to build a strong rapport with all stakeholders and managers within Greenlife Tours; you will be able to translate needs of internal customers into specifications and requirements that will be delivered either by yourself or by one of our external IT suppliers. You are happy to thoroughly and systematically document all IT processes and how they support our operation, thus giving yourself the maximum opportunity to succeed in a fast-changing environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Management of our outsourced Web Development contract
We are currently outsourcing our web development for all our brands to a third party. The ideal candidate will actively manage our IT and web development requirements, as well as continuous bug fixes. He/She will be the main point of contact for the relationship with our external developers and:
1. Define and manage the framework and SLAs for our company to work with third party developers.
2. Take on and filter all requests coming from non-technical staff and translate into technical specifications for the developers.
4. Manage the various development requirements, prioritise them and follow up with the developers and the internal team.
5. Test developments, record time and manage budget for all external developers.
-Management of our tour operator/reservations system
We are currently using a tour operator system called Tourplan as our internal reservations and booking system. The ideal candidate will actively manage the relationship with Tourplan in terms of our development requirements, as well as continuous bug fixes. The chosen candidate will be the main point of contact for the relationship with Tourplan. All GLT requirements as voiced by the GLT management team need to be validated, filtered and communicated to Tourplan. The ideal candidate will test all delivered solutions and have full budgetary control over IT development budgets.
-Document IT processes and suggest system/process improvements
Work with all department managers and document how IT systems support and interact with all processes within and across departments. The chosen candidate will analyse each departments IT systems & how they support all processes. He/She will work with each head of departments to identify how we can use IT solutions to improve productivity and increase levels of automation.
-IT Systems Gatekeeper
The ideal candidate will have full visibility and understanding of all software applications used across Greenlife Tours. The chosen candidate will manage access to all IT applications and ensure that all staff feel supported in their use of IT applications used within GLT. He/She will be the interface and manage the relationship with our main IT Support Provider (CK), as well as with various external companies whose systems/software we are working with.
-Contribute to long-term IT Plan and vision
The ideal candidate will provide an informed view to the Board of Directors on how we can stay ahead of the curve when it comes to our own IT systems. He/She will be aware of market developments in travel technology and will stay alert to maximise automation opportunities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum 4 years’ experience of working in an internal IT Manager role
Background working with Web Developers a distinct advantage
Excellent planning and organisation and project management skills
Outstanding relationship-building skills and an ability to negotiate and represent Greenlife Tours strongly when dealing with Third Party IT Suppliers
Resilience and strong goal-orientation.
Independent and hands-on with a strong “can-do attitude”
Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.
Experience working with travel booking and tour operator systems (such as Tourplan) would be an advantage
An interest in travel and the outdoors

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Travel Sales Consultant with fluent English to support our international team in our new offices in Dublin 8. You will be dealing directly with our international clients on a daily basis by phone and email to offer the best suitable holiday package and give expert advice on our routes to our individual clients.
